How do I become a PRTE?

The PRTE education program is open to all bona fide travel agents. Following successful completion of the PRTE General Course, you will be certified as a Puerto Rico Travel Expert. Following completion of the Master's Course, you will be certified as a Master Graduate. The Rewards/Incentives component of the course, however, is open to U.S. and Canadian travel agents only. Certain other restrictions apply to participants of the Rewards program; consult the terms and conditions contained in the Rewards site in the Campus for full details.

General Course

  • Certification as a Puerto Rico Travel Expert (PRTE)
  • Access to PRTE Incentives (North America agents only)
  • Access to Master's Course
  • Automatic subscription to Que Pasa Magazine
  • U.S travel agents certified by The Travel Institute are eligible for 10 Continuing Education Units upon completion of both the General Course and Master's Course. Members of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) are eligible for 9 credits.
