Phase One:  Following successful completion of Chapters 1-4

• Certification as a Puerto Rico Travel Expert (PRTE)
• Laminated PRTE ID card
• Listing in the Locate a PRTE section of Puerto Rico’s consumer website (www.GoToPuertoRico.com)
• Eligibility to participate in the PRTE Rewards Program. (available for North America agents only)
• Automatic subscription to Que Pasa Magazine
• Monthly e-newsletter with up-to-the-minute information and special offers
• 10 Continuing Education Units from The Travel Institute. Agent’s participating in TTI’s continuing education program are eligible for the CEUs. Go to www.thetravelinstitute.com for details.

Phase Two*:  Complete one or more Niche Market Specialist courses

• Eligible for additional PRTE Points

How do I become a PRTE?

The PRTE program is open to all bona fide travel agents who are employed by an ARC / IATA / IATAN approved company, ASTA members and/or holders of a current ACE, CTA and CTC, DS or TCI certification. CLIA, NACTA and OSSN members are also welcomed.

If you meet these qualifications, register or log-in now and study each chapter. Once you feel you're ready, take and pass the quiz that follows each. The quizzes are automatically scored, so you'll know how you're doing right away and you'll have the opportunity to go back and correct any mistakes.
